Vamp and Kork in Tysvær Arena!

Earlier this evening, I attended a concert in Tysvær Arena, watching the Haugesund-based group Vamp along with the "Kork" orchestra play for about 3000 people. It was a very good concert, and I'd probably recommend the DVD if I'd seen it. Very nice songs performed by great musicians, reproduced by a very potent PA-sound system in a very large gymnasium that probably didn't have the best acoustics. Overall, a very good concert, but I miss that extra punch on the drums..., and sometimes the vocals "dissapeared" within the massive sound..

I had my trusty E-3 with me, and this time, I used my old Zuiko OM 85mm f/2 lens to capture some moments from the concert. I was seated at quite a distance so the effective range of 170mm was actually a bit short, but I don't have any really fast tele-lenses (maybe the 300 f/4.5would have done the job, but it's HUUGE). I stepped the 85mm down to 2.8 to avoid the softness of this lens at f/2 ..., when I'm so far away from the subject, it actually was kind of annoying. ...
