Redecorate a room in one day
As you may know, my fiance and myself are about to become parents, so we thougth we had to do some redecorating to one of the rooms in our house. We want to do this because the "child room" got vinyl flooring, and we want to increase the comfort, looks and potential value of the room. Parquet floor would give us this;- It isolates better, making it more comfortable.
- It looks better.
- It gives the room a higher value if we're going to sell the house.
In addition to the floor, the lamp looks like crap, so we want to switch the lamp to a nicer looking and brighter lamp with a dimmer switch.
Here's what I did;
When I started, the room looked like this:
Then I just teared off the skirtings of the room and started laying the oak parquet:
... and when I was done, it looked like this:
Then I had to attatch the new skirtings ..... and it's almost done!
And here; the room is done - with new lamp, new floor and prepared for use! :-)
All good..., and in just one day. :-)
